MiHours is an independent platform created by Rhener Furtado to help cleaning operatives find extra shifts. It is not an official Mitie system and has no affiliation with, or endorsement by, Mitie Group plc. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Rhener Furtado is the data controller. Account details: name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored encrypted — we never see it). Cleaners also provide: payroll employee number, home address and postcode, and the manager they report to. Managers provide their department. We derive approximate coordinates from your postcode so we can show you the closest shifts. We also store your activity on the platform: sites and shifts you create, applications you make, favourited sites, notifications and performance ratings given by managers after a shift.
We process your data to run the service you signed up for — matching cleaners with available shifts, letting managers select applicants, and recording feedback on completed work (legal basis: performance of a contract / your consent given at registration). Your home postcode is used only to calculate the distance to work sites. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not profile you automatically.
After a shift, the manager (or their supervisor) rates the work on five criteria. Managers and supervisors can see your average rating and the number of shifts completed when reviewing applications. You can see all of your own ratings on your profile page.
Managers and supervisors can see the profile, employee number and ratings of cleaners who apply to their shifts. Cleaners can see the sites and shift details published by managers. The platform administrator can see all accounts in order to approve registrations and provide support. We do not share your data with any third party for their own purposes.
Data is stored by Supabase in a data centre in London, United Kingdom (region eu-west-2). The application is hosted by Hostinger. If a manager uses the "translate" button on a shift comment, that comment text is sent to the MyMemory translation service — please do not put personal data in shift comments.
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, your profile and personal data are erased immediately. Shift records may be retained in anonymised form so that other users' history stays consistent.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can update most of your details yourself on your profile page, and you can delete your account at any time from that same page — this permanently removes your personal data. For anything else, email us at rhener.furtado@mitie.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
We only use essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so no cookie banner is required.
Access to data is restricted at database level so users can only see what their role allows. Connections use HTTPS and passwords are stored hashed by our authentication provider.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
